Serbian Transparency Initiative ("STI") is an independent non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Texas (EIN 41-5333853), 6315 Central City Boulevard, Galveston, TX 77551. The information provided on this website (the "Platform") is offered in good faith for general informational, educational, and public-awareness purposes only. By using the Platform you acknowledge and accept the disclaimers set out below.

1. No Professional Advice

Nothing on the Platform constitutes legal, medical, psychological, financial, tax, or other professional advice. Information is provided "as is" and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional licensed in your jurisdiction. 2. Not a Government or Law-Enforcement Agency

STI is a private non-profit organization. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operating on behalf of any federal, state, or local government, regulatory authority, court, or law-enforcement body. We do not have the power to investigate, subpoena, prosecute, adjudicate, fine, license, or sanction any person or entity. Submitting a report to STI is not a substitute for filing a complaint with the appropriate government agency, regulator, or law-enforcement authority.

3. User-Submitted Content

Reports, narratives, evidence, and other content displayed on the Platform are submitted by users and reflect their own statements, opinions, and recollections. STI does not independently verify, endorse, adopt, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, truthfulness, or reliability of any user-submitted content. Any opinions expressed in user content are those of the submitter and not of STI, its directors, officers, volunteers, or partners.

References to identifiable persons, businesses, or organizations in user submissions are allegations only and should not be construed as findings of fact or proof of wrongdoing. All persons and entities referenced are presumed innocent of any alleged conduct unless and until proven otherwise by a competent legal authority.

4. Accuracy & Availability

While we make reasonable efforts to keep information current, STI makes no warranty that content on the Platform is complete, accurate, current, or error-free. The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. STI may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time without notice.

5. Third-Party Links & Partners

The Platform may link to third-party websites or partner organizations (including referral partners such as attorneys, support networks, or wellness platforms). These links are provided for convenience only. STI does not control and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or services of any third party, and inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.

6. Donations & Tax Treatment

STI accepts donations to support its charitable mission. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by U.S. law for organizations described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. STI does not provide tax advice. Donors should consult their own tax advisor and rely solely on STI's written acknowledgment for substantiation as required by IRS Publication 1771.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, STI and its directors, officers, volunteers, and agents disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including loss of data, reputation, business, or profits — arising out of or related to (a) your use of the Platform, (b) reliance on any content, (c) actions taken or not taken by any third party in response to a report, or (d) any user-submitted content.

8. Reporting in Good Faith

Users are expected to submit reports truthfully and in good faith. STI does not condone, and reserves the right to remove, any submission that is knowingly false, defamatory, harassing, threatening, retaliatory, or otherwise unlawful. Knowingly false statements may expose the submitter to civil and criminal liability under applicable law.

9. Defamation Notice & Takedown

If you are an individual or organization named in a user submission and believe content on the Platform is inaccurate, defamatory, or unlawful, you may contact us at info@serbiantransparency.org with (i) your full name and contact information, (ii) the URL or description of the content at issue, and (iii) a clear statement of the basis for your concern. STI will review good-faith requests and may remove, redact, or annotate content where appropriate.

10. Governing Law

This Disclaimer is governed by the laws of the State of Texas and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Exclusive venue for any dispute lies in the state or federal courts of Galveston County, Texas.
